Victory Brewing Golden Monkey Ale

Eitan - Even though I missed beer night this week, I did have the opportunity to sample a beer I have not tried before. I tried this beer at some pub in Chelsea, mainly because it had a weak beer selection (both draft and bottle) and it was the strongest beer that they served that I have not tried at 9.5%. Golden Monkey (served in a glass from a regular beer bottle) is an ok Belgian tripel. It had a nice aroma. It had a typical Belgian tripel flavor. It wasn't as crisp as I would have liked it to be and produced minimal white head. Over all it was nothing special, I should have ordered the Duvel instead. But then I probably wouldn't have written about it.
