Not a beer night post, but had it to be made

Eitan - Last Friday I was so glad to see that Fourth Ave Pub had Ommegang Three Philosophers 2009 on tap. Naturally I had to try it, and I am glad I did. It was almost a year ago that I had Ommegang Three Philosophers at the Ommegang Brewery. It was poured in to a nice 10 oz Three Philosiphers glass. It had a nice rich dark red color. It had a sweet cherry/raisin smell. And it tasted very similar to its smell. I would definitely go out and drink as much of it as I could while its available on tap.

Also, I tried Ommegang Abby on tap at the Farm on Adderley on Monday Night. I was fasting for the day so my memory from the night is a bit hazy. A nice mahogany color, sweet smell and tasted a little sweet. It was definitely a lot sweeter tasting from the tap than from the bottle.
